Band directors are invited to nominate their students by February 15, and those that are selected will audition on Thursday, March 11, for band and chair placement. Students will rehearse for two days, Friday and Saturday, March 12 and 13, under the direction of excellent conductors and will perform a concert for their parents and friends at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, at Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium.
The conductors for the 2010 Southern West Virginia Honor Band are Steve Barnett for The Gold Band and Cythnia Smith for The Silver Band.
A custom-designed festival certificate and T-shirt will be mementos of this eventful weekend.
