Congratulations to all the students who were selected to the 2010 Southern West Virginia Honor Band.
Students will audition on Thursday, March 11, for band and chair placement at Beckley-Stratton Middle School. Students will rehearse for two days, Friday and Saturday, March 12 and 13, at Woodrow Wilson High School under the direction of excellent conductors and will perform a concert for their parents and friends at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, at Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium.
The conductors for the 2010 Southern West Virginia Honor Band are Steve Barnett for The Gold Band and Cythnia Smith for The Silver Band.
A custom-designed festival certificate and T-shirt will be mementos of this eventful weekend.
The Southern West Virginia Honor Band is sponsored by the Raleigh County Bandmasters Association.
